CELEBRATING THE HISTORY OF THE PLAINS
The museum proudly displays the lengthy history of the Southern Great Plains ranging from prehistoric fossils to 1950’s small town America. You can explore the remains of the Dutcher Mammoth, the Buried City, and antique tractor collection or examine the creative beauty of American Brilliant Cut Glass to name just a few of the many exhibits housed here. The Museum of the Plains has something to offer for everyone!
THE GREAT
HALL
The Great Hall is over 400 feet long and contains displays and exhibits ranging from the Historic Indian period to the 1950’s.

MUSEUM
The museum is conveniently located on U.S. Highway 83 for quick stops to stretch your legs or an all day adventure. There is plenty of parking available for vehicles of all sizes.

Written by local author John R. Erickson and illustrated by Gerald L. Holmes, Hank has become everyone’s favorite cowdog and we are pleased as punch to be Hank’s hometown!
